Knuckleheads In The News®

Demarco Whatley of East St. Louis went to the St. Clair County courthouse to pay a fine, but on the way in, he was stopped by courthouse security when the metal detector beeped.  A bailiff searched him and found baggies of marijuana in his back and front pockets -- six in all.  Demarco told them he forgot the pot was in his pants.  He's charged with misdemeanor possession.  Hopefully, when he goes back to court on that charge, he'll check his pockets first. A soccer player from Cameroon is worried for his family's safety because he missed a penalty cup that kept his country from qualifying for the World Cup tournament.  Pierre Wome, who had to be escorted out of the country and taken to Italy for his own safety, says angry fans have destroyed cars and houses they thought were his, and his family is still being protected by a special security force.  Good thing this doesn't happen in the US -- or Bill Buckner, Scott Norwood, and Steve Bartman would be dead.
