On my KMOX show this afternoon, Aaron Barnhart and I talked about the TV Year In Review.
The big stories included the writers strike, viewers doing more time-shifting than ever via DVRs and online streaming. It was the year the "Sopranos" went away, "30 Rock" came into its own, and a slew of shows had female lead characters. We discussed all of that, plus a few disappointments like the "Grey's Anatomy" George-and-Izzie story line and its misguided spinoff, "Private Practice." Aaron named his best new shows of the year, too.
Aaron Barnhart is TV critic for the Kansas City Star and is always online at TVBarn.com. His regular segment on my KMOX show airs Mondays at 4:15pm CT.
