Jon Macks

"Tonight Show" comedy writer Jon Macks made his final appearance of the year on my KMOX show this afternoon.

We talked about what will happen when Jay Leno returns to work on Wednesday and whether Jon and his fellow writers plan on picketing at NBC, which means any celebrities who appear on the show will have to cross the picket line. Jon says he isn't sure what Jay will do for a monologue since, as a WGA member, he's not supposed to write any material (even for himself) during the strike.

Jon requested that I not ask him on the air about the deal David Letterman has made to return with his writers next week, because he had no comments to make on the record -- but he was in the mood to joke about his New Year's Resolutions and some of the celebrities who made news this year.

Listen.
