TV critic Aaron Barnhart joined me on KTRS/St. Louis today to talk about how the death of Michael Jackson has been covered by the various networks, the huge rating BET got for its awards show Sunday night, and why MSNBC continues to run documentaries instead of live news programming on the weekend.
I also asked Aaron about the published report that Simon Cowell wants a raise from $36 million/year to $144 million/year (and whether he's worth it), and who's winning the late-night battle between David Letterman and Conan O'Brien. Then Aaron previewed the new Dylan McDermott show, "Dark Blue," which debuts on TNT in two weeks.
