Dead, Not Dead

Last week, among the celebrity death reports (Jackson, Farrah, McMahon), a rumor appeared on Twitter that Jeff Goldblum had died. I think it started with a joke, or a bad game of Operator. Someone said "they're dropping like flies," someone else remembered that Goldblum had starred in "The Fly," someone else thought that meant Jeff Golblum had fallen to his death, and pretty soon, the story had gone viral: Jeff Goldblum had fallen off a cliff while making a movie in New Zealand.

Fortunately, one respected news operation took the time to get the story confirmed by an unimpeachable source -- Jeff Goldblum...
