Woodstock: The Oral History

With the 40th anniversary of a musical milestone approaching, my friend Joel Makower has just republished his book, "Woodstock: The Oral History."

He joined me on KIRO/Seattle to talk about the event and the people who were there, both on stage and in the mud, who shared their stories with him. Joel told an amazing story of how his sister ended up at Woodstock, explained why Pete Townshend bopped Abbie Hoffman in the head with his guitar, and discussed whether there really was a "Woodstock Baby."

You can get his book in paperback from Amazon, or download the audiobook (complete with the interviews he did to compile the book) from Audible.com or iTunes. Joel has a sample here.
