I don't care about or pay attention to beauty pageants, but this photo caught my eye this morning. That's Alyssa Campanella, the current Miss USA, showing off her "national costume" for the Miss Universe pageant, where subtlety is prohibited (as you'd expect in a show owned by Donald Trump).
Because this is what American women wear almost every day. Especially when it's Patriot Night at the local Hooters.
