Bill Courtney, "Undefeated"

The other day, I raved about "Undefeated," the Oscar-winning documentary about a high school football team in north Memphis and their coach, Bill Courtney. When I tweeted a link to my review, I got a thank-you from Bill, so I invited him to join me on KTRS to talk about it. Among the questions I asked:
  • how he motivated a team that had a history of losing by teaching them discipline and character;
  • how he handled trouble from one kid in particular whose actions threatened to destroy the team;
  • how he drew inspiration as an athletic coach from his high school chess coach;
  • how he and the other coaches were the only adult males in the lives of most of the players;
  • what it was like to go to the Academy Awards and walk the red carpet;
