On his new YouTube channel, Leonard Maltin rants about the lack of personnel at movie theaters, so when there's no sound (or other technical problems) no one notices who has the ability to fix it and keep the customers happy. I wrote last year about a movie theater in the St. Louis area where the projectionist came into the theater before the movie to introduce himself and tell the crowd to let him know if they had any problems and thank us for coming. As Maltin points out, that's an anomaly in the film exhibition business...
