Solar Roadways

Scott and Julie Brusaw had an idea -- using America's roads to collect solar energy. After all, the streets are already out there in the sun, so what if they could be covered with solar panels and used to generate electricity? That led to their company, Solar Roadways, which has already been crowd-funded to the tune of almost $2 million, gotten a federal grant, and is drawing interest from cities across the country.

On my show, Scott explained the genesis of the idea, how the solar roads will be built, and how they'll also be able to melt snow and use embedded LED lights for lane markers and traffic signaling. Listen, then click here to subscribe to these podcasts via iTunes!
