Are Endzone Runbacks Worth It?

Has anyone run the numbers on whether it's worth it to run back kickoffs out of the endzone instead of taking a touchback and starting at the 20 yard line?

Based on nothing more than my viewing, it seems like returners rarely get out to the 20. Sure, there are the occasional explosive returns for touchdowns (e.g. Devin Hester's career), but they can't be frequent enough to make it worthwhile in the long run. I haven't seen anything conclusive on the question like this analysis on why it's often better to go for it on fourth down instead of punting. If you do, please send me the link.
